Our daughter Mari Lyn is working at this time, in the medical field. She just received her Master's Degree last month, but the final Board Exam will be on October 30th. I spoke with her yesterday and asked, 'How do you know what to study, for this exam? She said, there are certain books that sum up all the important details, she was expected to learn. This will be the final exam, to determine if she's thoroughly ready to handle the responsibility as a Physician's Assistant. I'm very proud of her accomplishments! Photo: Mine

Mari Lyn started back to school, in her late twenties. At the time, she was married and had three kids. I had no idea she was interested in medicine and neither did she.

Thanks, M.-L. She didn't start college until she was almost 28 years old. I had no idea that she was interested in medicine.

@kobesbuddy It's not a bad thing if a physician is mature! :-)

@MALUSE I had one doctor who was so immature and mean! Most of his patients left to go somewhere else, for medical treatment.

When Mari Lyn first went back to college, she was married and they had three little kids. I thought this was far too much for her to handle!

That is great and I am sure she will do fine. I was just looking up the difference between a PA and a nurse practitioner it seems they are similar.

Yes, first they become an LPN, then an R.N., a Nurse Practitioner(PA), then a M.D.
