They really hate chickens

At least one of them does. One of mom's friends delivered two native chickens to be part of the feast tomorrow. But the dogs got angry and wants to kill them, good thing they were put somewhere up so the dogs can't see them. They're hunters after all, they have dealt with rats in the past. With four dogs, maybe it's not going to be easy raising chickens here as they would bark at it all the time. We used to raise chickens before..maybe it's not impossible with a cage. Before it was in wooden cage.

We used to have hens and cocks in our house in my childhood. We had made a special earthen house for them. Breeding of these fowls is risky because some virus catches them and all you paultry would be finished. We don't have them any more.

@Letranknight2015 You have to live with it. In olden times people were managing that. There were lot of people in the house hold also so the works were distributed.

Hello @msdivkar I was told that it stinks if you have a poultry of chickens because they poop all the time.

If dogs are there then it's not possible for chicken to be free then, haha. Some dogs will bite chicken isn't. Now that you put in cage then dogs cannot reached them.

The natural side of dogs being hunters are clearly being shown by your dogs.

@Letranknight2015 Some dogs are truly mean, but that is what makes them good guard dogs, always loyal, but even Kai, she killed a nice baby lizard the other day, just in their nature, but she is no alpha, so think she could be trained easy where every dog can really, but true alpha's are hard. It takes a lot of time or money which most people do not have. Kai would be easy because she is such a Teddy bear, its just her instincts kick in.

Thats is why I raise rabbit for meat instead of chickens. I have 4 dogs and 3 cats so they will definitely murder the chickens. I can hide the rabbits and put them on predator proof cages.

The dogs would find it natural to go after the chickens.

It will just take time to train them. My dogs know that bothering them is very wrong. I only have to watch one dog real close with my chickens.

That is one of the things I regret not giving them that kind of training @wolfgirl569
