What would I do with this?

When I got my new computer, I was told I would be given back my old computer's hard drive, but--
What on earth am I supposed to do with it??
Has anyone out there got a clue what I should do with this? I would sure appreciate some advice --- 'cause I have absolutely no clue.

Maybe sell it, there must be somebody out there who would want to buy it.

There's a lot of things you could do with it. You could trash it, or put it in your new computer. If there's stuff on it you may want or need (pictures, videos files etc) you could possibly move the data to a thumb drive or external hard drive. If you don't know how to do any of those things, someone could possibly help you.
