A robot doctor has been helping the frontliners in Malolos, Bulacan Philippines. It was created for more than a month. It needs to credit the creators of this robot called ROVIDOC. They are from Bulacan State University. The main function of this is to give assistance to health workers in the Governance Center. It does not need for them to be in contact with patients who were inflicted with coronavirus. Have you seen a robot like this at your place? Image Credit: pbs.twimg.com

It seems that we need to see them up close in the future. I haven't seen one in real life, too.

No, thanks God we still have humans to take care of patients, no matter their disease.

I am sure robots will not be refined as humans in providing tender loving care (TLC).

I can't say I have seen anything outside of television like that. It's possible, sure, but we do what's known as telemedicine here. You talk to a doctor through video chat. It's crazy. When I went to the doctor last week, he was wearing a mask, but other than that, the visit was the same. I of course, wasn't because I can't for medical reasons. Glad to see medicine hasn't completely lost the human tou ch.

@Shavkat That's exactly how thease "robots" work. They are used sometimes in hospital systems for treating complex cases. It's basically a robot with a two-way webcam. I just feel that people stillneed that human touch now more than ever.

@kaylachan Tender Loving Care (TLC) is still a good thing for the patients to feel with healthcare professionals.

I agree. Doctors are still essential in prescribing medicines. I doubt if the robot can do what doctors can do. I think this robot is not that automated yet. It is still controlled by health personnel using a remote control to mobilize it.

Its coming robots coming to take all our jobs and a new thing to hate I guess. We will see because people are crazy, probably still blame the Mexicans. Should blame the white people they the ones coming up with this stuff.

Well, we cannot control it since people are living in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The only thing that I freaked out when they created Robot Sophia. She is like a demon robot who wanted to rule the world.

I haven't heard of a robot like that in Chile. However I think it is a good idea to use a robot to perform such activities so no more people can get infected!

I agree. I had seen them only in pictures and videos. However, I am not closing my door to have one in the future as a companion to speak with.

I would like to see it in action. I'm not sure I'd want a robot working on me if I were ill.

This robot is still being controlled by a remote controller. So the service is not good.
