... with my new work schedule. Used to work in the mornings either 7:00am to 4:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm. Got transferred to a different team. Same account just a different client base. My work schedule is now 4:00pm to 1:00am. If not for working at home, I wouldn't have accepted the offer. Our CEO is the one who trained our team here in Manila. Twice he came over to train us and the new batch of CSRs. Twice he made the offer to get me onboard his team but I respectfully declined both times because of the work schedule. Anyway, this time around, I had no choice. I either accept the transfer or I leave the job. Honestly, leaving the job was my first choice but when the CEO heard about the personnel movement, he reached out to HR and asked that I be transferred to his team instead. It was a pleasant surprise but two weeks in the new schedule, I remember why I hate the schedule... I can barely stay awake and I hardly get any normal sleep. Anyway, I'm trying to get used to it. Have you been sleeping well the past few days?

Those are very awkward hours. I hope you learn to cope with it.

Thanks. It is indeed awkward but it is better than a full-on night shift.

I wouldn't like those hours, but one good thing is working from home. I use to work from 11pm 6am I got used to it. It wasn't at home, I had to leave out every night.

I hope you can get used to your new schedule. I do not have the habit to stay up until a am, it would be a problem for me.

Thank you. Still trying to cope. I sleep in the afternoon before my work shift starts so I'm not sleepy during my actual shift.

@LadyDuck yes, that is what I do after taking lunch. I take a nap before my work shift starts at 4:00pm.

@allen0187 It's a good idea to take a nap, so you can work without feeling too much tired.

Wrote a post about it, 'The Imaginary Barking Dog'. Long story short, passed the first two assessor, third assessor didn't stay on for more than five minutes and cut my demo lesson short because she heard a barking dog in the back ground.

Believe me, if I can afford to quit, I would have. Just staying on to see if I can get back to my original morning shift.

@allen0187 pre covid my schedule was 4AM. When I started working from home back in April, we were asked to work at 9 PM. Then just recently, I was able to chose a morning schedule.

As a professional server I usually started work at 4 PM until it slowed down---sometimes 9 PM and sometimes 11 PM and then I would go out and party!! Now all I know is that I LOVE being retired!!

Your body clock has to adjust to this new routine. Lots of coffee perhaps?

Coffee is fine but I really don't want to consume much caffeine. I'm already wired as it is. Trying to cope with the new schedule but eventually I want to get back to my old morning schedule.

@sol_cee I don't know. Funny thing is I don't know why I was transferred. So it might take awhile but I'm doing what I can so I can get back to my old morning shift by next month.

Good if you like your new schedule and it works for you. My schedule is 9:30AM--3:30PM. I am a morning person so that works fine for me. I sleep well from 10PM to 5 in morning and take a 30 minute power nap in afternoon.

I don't like the new schedule. Trying to cope though. Worked in the morning schedule for a good number of years and I can say that the morning schedule is the one that I liked the most.

Why do you sleep at 1:00am? I'm staying because I know that it is hard to get a job especially with this pandemic. I'm trying to get a side hustle, something that fits with my current schedule. I'm also trying to get back to my old schedule.
