Trying to Avoid Thinking But … It's not working!

Sometimes I wonder if our politicians make up “busy work” to avoid doing the REAL WORK they were elected to do. 
There are some things you can do to make peace so that you can move on and get important things done! Even if you don't succeed in making peace, you can at least shut the person up who's arguing with you and holding up progress!
What's the new fight now? Ruth Bader's Ginsburg's last words.
FACT: As much as I honor and respect this American icon who could actually be called Lady Justice, her dying wish, her last words, have NO CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY!! In fact, they don't have any legal authority whatsoever!
And that's all our President and our illustrious Senators have to say and then move on.
But NO! They prefer to posture like peacocks and flex their power muscles and say WE'RE IN CHARGE and WE CALL THE SHOTS!! And stick their tongues out like how grown adults do when they're confronted by other grown adults.
FACT: Trump is going to put forward his nominee for the Senate to confirm.
Yeah yeah you can call them hypocrites, flip-floppers, whatever.
Sure! There are those who oppose the POTUS taking this action because it's almost time to elect a NEW POTUS and they think we should hit the “pause button”.
But the reality is there is nothing ... there is no rule of law that says he can't and the ONLY one who can stop him … the nominee.
Yes. The nominee could actually REFUSE the nomination!!
Uh huh. Fat chance of that happening!
As much as I don't like all the brew ha ha that I see carrying on, I have to face facts.
The US Constitution is BIGGER THAN ALL OF US!!
The beauty of America is we are a country where we make our own laws and we can even amend our Constitution.
What I really think the leaders should turn their attention to is a thorough examination of our rules governing the SCOTUS body like …
~ Why do they have to be Justices for life?
~ Should there be more than 9 Justices?
~ Does the nominee have to be a woman … just because?
~ Should Presidents ONLY seek to nominate Justices who are also in their same political party? I mean … Can't a Republican POTUS nominate a Judge who is a Democrat or a different party?
Hey! Is the nominee's political party important? OR Is is important that they are qualified for the job and will interpret the rule of law correctly?
* What does politics and political party or gender have to do with American Justice for ALL anyway?

No, I don't think they should be Justices for life. Just my opinion...and the whole situation is getting too dramatic.

If you listen to Trump's rationale for wanting to hurry up and do it, it doesn't really have anything to do with the "greatness of America". I think he thinks that it's a "trump card" and he should play it.

I don't see a reason to wait to nominate a new judge in place of RBG. I read something that said it was her request that her seat not be filled till after the election. Can she even do that?
