Late summer bloomers

United States

The goals 'f gardenin' (aka: manipulatin' yer native landscape) means many thingies to those who partake'n such. One thingy though that 'tis a common denominator 'tis somethin' bloomin' 'r 't least's some 'nterestin' texture dotted all 'round. Here 'tis the lone survivin' "Blue Mist". 'tis a sub-shrub 'n waits 'til August, here't least, 'fore those lil wispy blue flowers 'ppear. 'magine my delight to find this lil beauty partakin' some'f that sweet nectar. Nary a clue's to what sort'a winged creature this'd be. 'twas tiny, I'll tell ya that fer certain.

Oh so pretty ! That's a tiny guy? We have a lot of late blooming things (miraculously) since I planted things at the wrong time. Nature finds a way - and does a beautiful job of it!!

@crazyhorseladycx Awwww, a teeny guy indeed! Sometimes the phone camera is amazing (other times you just want to scream at it). I think I'm able to fool the plants by shuffling them around - well, that's my thinking anyway. Maybe nature likes to throw us some mysteries to throw us off .

yepperz'n if'n i 'twas not so lazy i'd figure out what sort 't'd be, lol. 'bout the size 'f my thumbnail. surprised the pic came out coz i took such with my phone. i'm thinkin' where ya hang yer hat there's kinda diff'rent 'rules' fer such. much longer growin' season. yes ma'am, she does! though i'm questionin' her wisdom this eve. went to sit'n my porch swing out by the pond whilst speakin' with ms. @just4him 'n found a sunflower seed's sprouted jest 'nderneath such, lol.
