The Unnecessary Expense

On Thursday, it was announced that those who affected with the internet maintenance will have to work at the office. No excuse. Will merit absenteeism point. Since I am using the postpaid PLDT Wifi, I am affected by the 5-day maintenance. We were told that we should report to work carrying the company provided PC. Too much of a hassle. As a remedy, I bought a prepaid Globe At Home Wifi. I spent $20 for the Wifi. I still use the postpaid which is still working. What a false announcement. Then eventually, the internet provider edited their announcement. They said they found a way for subscribers not to suffer from the maintenance.

Look at the bright side, there was no service interruption and you didn't have to go to your office carrying the PC.

@jobelbojel why would the company do that? Hope you get internet installed at your home soon.

Yes, glad that it is still working with hiccups but it is fine. Now my battle is getting a wired connection. The company will cancel the postpaid wifi plan and it will be cut off on Sep 30. After that, I should be reporting to the site.

No need to go to the office. But... I still need a wired connection until Sep 30. It was frustrating as to why internet providers don't have broadband facilities near my place.

So it means, you don't need to go to office since they find a way not to affect the subscribers.

Yes, so funny. First they announced that service will be affected. Then that made sure service will not be affected. Confusing
