National Coffee Day is Tuesday

I really enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning how about you? I usually sip it while enjoying one of my favorite pastries. For me, coffee compliments those breakfast treats perfectly. Well, this Tuesday September 29th, is National Coffee Day, although I don't need a reason to have a cup of joe. Anyway, I thought you might enjoy a few coffee facts while you drink your morning pick me up.
-The earliest knowledge of coffee drinking or of a coffee tree appears in the middle of the 15th century in the Sufi monasteries in Yemen.
-In 1670, Baba Budan smuggled coffee seeds out of the Middle East by strapping seven seeds onto his chest. Later coffee spread to Italy and the rest of Europe, Indonesia, and the Americas.
-Brazil produces more coffee than any other country in the world.
-More than 50 countries around the world grow coffee providing us with many varieties of flavors to choose from.

What's your favorite thing about coffee. I think the smell and taste of coffee is so relaxing. A great way to start your day.

I love the smell of a freshly-opened bag or can of coffee, and the aroma of freshly-brewed coffee. I used to drive by the Maxwell House plant in Jacksonville with my windows rolled down, just to get a whiff!
But I hate the taste of coffee! That's the real reason they threw me out of the Navy.

Well you'll be happy to know coffee has some positive benefits:
-May Lower Your Risk of Type 2 Diabetes.
-May Protect You From Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia.
-Can Improve Energy Levels and Make You "Smarter".

@dgobucks226 No, I don´t drink a coffee as a pick me up. Actually, I only drink coffee when I feel that my blood pressure is low again.
