What if COVID-19 is a hoax?
~Would rather believe it's REAL and BE WRONG?!
OR
~Believe it's FAKE and BE WRONG?!
* * * * *
My fellow Americans. Those questions were easy. Here comes the hard ones.
Suppose Trump health officials who are heading up the Task Force, “Operation Warp Speed” ANNOUNCE at midnight on Oct 31st (2 days before the Election) that there is a COVID-19 vaccine and it is available to the public at no cost, FREE! Just go to your doctor or a public health clinic to get the shot.
~Would rather believe it's REAL and BE WRONG?!
(Eh! The US health officials LIED but what are you gonna do? SUE 'EM?)
OR
~Believe it's FAKE and BE WRONG?!
(The US health officials are really not crying WOLF! but … because of all of the “confused or mixed messages”, you're too scared to trust them! What are you gonna do? Cross your heart and hope you don't DIE?!)

I am not taking any vaccine. But I'd also be hesitant to believe what they are saying is not fake news.

@MALUSE - Many people are against vaccines in the USA. Some of them have said that the vaccines caused autism or other health problems with their child. They are vehemently opposed to them. They are convinced vaccines can not be trusted and I guess they have a personal experience as their reference point.
I have had 11 children and had them all vaccinated before they entered school. I took my kids to public health clinics because they can get vaccinated for free. But I will admit that at one time I had a bad experience with a government agency that caused mistrust. It's not that I did not trust the efficacy of the vaccine. It's that I did not trust the people providing them. I did not know if they were giving my child a real vaccination shot. Oh yeah! The mistrust ran deep and it took a lot for me to overcome it and trust the authorities again.
I'd rather not disclose the details about what led to the lack of trust. It's complicated, happened several years ago, my kids are all grown, and I have put the matter behind me. But this is why I am asking these troubling questions NOW. Because once again I find myself faced with this problem. CAN I TRUST MY GOVERNMENT? I hate that they have put me in this position of doubting their integrity … AGAIN!

@MALUSE I don't know the effect the vaccines will have on me. And I don't think I need them. I don't ever remember taking a flu shot. And I don't get sick. Many people take the flu shot and still get sick or have a negative side effects after.
As for the covid vaccine I am not sure if I'd trust it. They seem to be rushing it.

I don't think COVID-19 is a hoax...and it has turned out to be more problematic than originally thought. I will take the vaccine when it is provided.

I think CoViD-19 is very real but the facts about it hasn't been disclosed fully to the public.
As for the vaccine, I'll most likely get it after reading and making sure that it is legit.

The crux is we have to fight this together by social distancing and not by trying to be Captain America. The bleak is to come if we don't follow the protocols.
