A certain MyLotter friend, who will remain unidentified, requested that I do more dinner posts. I have been eating a lot of frozen food recently (I cook it first) and decided to have my ritual sushi tonight. What are you having for dinner on this hazy and humid Thursday?

Your dinner sounds good. We decided since we are trying to keep two of the kids from sharing good and stuff that ordering something was safer. The kids wanted chick fa la. I wasn’t hungry so I got a milk shake I’m going to eat leftover later here.

@TheHorse chick-fa-la it’s a fast food joint all across the US. Supper popular Christian run family friendly. They are always trying to please people. It’s one of my kids favorite food places since they have gluten free options for the littlest.

@ShyBear88 Oh, I remember them. I thought it was cool that the workers at one brought water out to protesters AGAINST them because they were protesting on a hot day. Love and compassion trump (eeps--did I use that word?) anger, even if you may not agree about everything.

Lori and I had lunch together, and I ate quite a lot, so it’s just some sliced pears and a turkey sandwich.

Hamburgers and macaroni. I felt lazy when it was time to cook.

I have never had sushi. I made lentil soup yesterday and still had enough for today.

@LindaOHio Even if light and fluffy, it sound filling! Can you fill them with spinach or something? I'm into "flavor and texture contrasts."

@TheHorse It's a pasta made from flour, potatoes and eggs. Out of this world. If made correctly, they are light and fluffy.

I've always been on the hesitant side to try sushi because I don't like fish. I am aware sushi doesn't mean raw fish but "sour rice" but still not something I plan to try. We ordered from the Mediterranean place today and had a chicken kabob, rice, hummus, pita bread, and fatoush salad. I was really bummed my husband forgot to order baklava. It's one of my favorite things from there. I also love some of their fusion foods and keep meaning to try and branch out and get something different from their menu. So far, I've only tried a couple of their gyros and the combo I mentioned. Their food is so good.

@TheHorse I love Mediterranian food in general. I'm still bummed I didn't get my baklava. I might try to see if I can find a recipe and try making it myself of course it won't be authentic and probably not as good. Usually, Baklava isn't super filling so I have room for it since it's just a tiny piece at least the ones from where we order are small.

We had a frozen gluten free pizza. This brand Freshetta is pretty good after I add pepperoni, sausage, and extra mozzarella cheese.

@TheHorse It's not as good as regular crust pizza from Pizza Inn, but not bad.

@1creekgirl I like my gluten. But I'd probably enjoy it anyway.
