Went to the store for something but left without it

I went grocery shopping Wednesday.
Main reason for going to the store was to get farmer cheese as I ran out of it.
As I was walking home I realized I forgot to buy it.
I got lots of other stuff but forgot the very thing I came there for.
I'd have gone back to the store but I couldn't do that as had six bags of groceries on me.
I ended up asking hubby to go and get it on his way home from work.
I still haven't opened the farmer cheese yet as I was finishing the wedge of cheese we had left.
Maybe tomorrow I will have it for breakfast with my coffee.
Have you ever gone to the store for something but left the store without that item?

Every single time I go to the grocery store I leave with everything but what I went for. In fact, I just did that again today. Went there to get milk for my daughter, and came home with 8 bags of groceries and no milk.

Did you end up going back to the store for the milk?

@lovebuglena Nope! My daughter can use my almond milk if she wants milk.

@moffittjc I've never tried almond milk or anything other milk that didn't come from an animal.
I would love to try sheep milk but have not seen any for sale here.

Yes, we were out of milk. After grabbing other items in the mean time, getting home we hadn't purchased milk!

@kobesbuddy Hopefully, the store was close by. it would suck if you had to go back to the store for something and the store was far away from the house.

I've done that even with a list. Now that the hubs does the shopping, he forgets something on the list quite often. I'm glad your hubby was able to pick up the cheese for you.

Me too. Though I didn't start eating it till a few days after he bought it, so I guess if he wouldn't have gotten it for me it would have been ok.

If your husband forgets something on the list does he go back to get it or do you wait for next shopping trip?

@lovebuglena He usually waits unless it's something we need right away.

@lovebuglena I also forget something when doing it. But then, we can still have the things being listed.

I don't do a shopping list usually but lately I started doing it. Of course, sometimes I forget to put something on the list that I need to get.

Best thing to do is get all you need first and then browse for stuff you might like after.

I've shopped with a list and still forgot something on it. And there were times when I forgot to add something to the list that I really needed.
