I just had some Palik Paneer for lunch today while watching an American football game (Go Raiders!). Some friends and I are going to go listen to a local band play this afternoon, so I have no idea what I'll be having for dinner. Some Persian beef kabob sounds good, but I have to see what happens. What's on (or what was on) your agenda for this evening?

@TheHorse Shahi Paneer: Shahi stands for Royal. It is cottage cheese i.e Paneer made in a thick gravy of cooked tomatoes added with Garam Masala, turmeric powder, and with added green and / or red chilly in powder form.
In some restaurants, they also add crushed cashewnuts in Shahi Paneer.
I ate Shahi Paneer in some English restaurants way back in 2005-06, and they used to make it slightly sweet(with some sugar added), to cater to local taste buds.

So did you made Shahi Paneer at home, or ordered somewhere?

Palak Paneer: Palak is Hindi for Spinach and Paneer stands for Cottage cheese.
It is something that we love in winters with spices, and combined with Indian normal or fried Breads- Roti or Paranthas.
It is served in many restaurants as well, although they serve it with more green and red chillies and I do not like too much of spiciness in those.
You had that with some sort of Bread?

Those kabobs look amazing! I cooked venison meatballs, gravy, rice, boiled cabbage, and fried cornbread. Oh, and peanut butter cookies for our grandson. He spent the weekend with us so he and his Papa could work on his Eagle Scout project: three neighborhood book lending boxes.

I had a bowl of chicken corn chowder. The Browns won! They now have 4 whole games under their belt -- best in 26 years. What a sad situation!

Your picture sounds delicious. But I will stick to more leftovers. I still have the salad and rice. I Could mix rice with corn kernels and mayo. I love that.

We have some left over pizza when we got home from church this afternoon. I had fruit, grapes and a banana, for dinner. I wasn't too hungry. Those kabobs look delicious. Enjoy the music and whatever you decide for dinner.
