Foolish Me!

My mind is very busy. Personal, home, and job commitments are what I am dealing currently. I was tasked to settle some problem of the company’s billing to the light and power company in our local. With the health and safety protocols to be followed, anyone must take the procedures being imposed. After printed my identity on the logbook, I was prompted to the thermal scanner attached on a stand. I’ve heard the security guard instructed me to face on the scanner. The scanner itself is placed below my height if I stand upright so I lowered down my body but it never reads. The guard then again told me to point my forehead closer to the scanner. I then realize that I should have to take a little vow with my forehead closer to the scanner than bringing my body down to level my height where the scanner is set. Foolish me! I was slow to catch up the instructions.

I used to the way malls are doing it where the security guard is the one to point you the thermal scanner. There, it's DIY.

You're not foolish. Quite often it's difficult to know what to do if you're not used to something.

he should have demonstrated how it's done or there should have been a picture next to it that everyone can see.

I have one of those scanners, if you are not in the correct position they read nothing.

The light and power company. They're installing a thermal scanner to measure your body temp without the need a person to point it at you.

I think it is fine since we are not used to this kind of scanner. I might be like in your shoes if it happens.

I feel ashame later looking the people at my back. But, I think they can"t recognize me by face since I immediately wear my mask and shield before I turn back.
