My favorite cartoon series, courtesy of Looney Toons, is the cartoon series that stars Sylvester the Cat and his son Sylvester James Junior. Now, three-and-a-half-year old Sylvester James Junior loves his dad, but his dad does some very embarrassing things. Poor Sylvester James Junior becomes beyond humiliated when his dad is behaving in a manner that is cause for embarrassment. Think about it. How embarrassing it has to be for the son of a cat to watch his dad hunt a kangaroo that dear old dad believes is a big mouse! I remember watching the Sylvester the Cat cartoons all the time, and I grew to love Sylvester James Junior due to his cute-as-can-be little self. When embarrassed or humiliated by the silly actions of his dad, Sylvester James Junior often says the following regarding the antics of his dear old dad: 1. "Oh the shame of it..." 2. "Oh Father..." 3. "Oh dear, how ever will I face the guys in Troop 12." 4. "I am ashamed to show my face..."

@DocAndersen I remember that. My sister and I had the old one in our room and could watch it if we were sick. I remember I was watching Of Mice and Men and the last scene had me crying so hard. Mom ran to my room due to thinking something awful was going on with me.

That seems like a nice cartoon from yesteryear and I am sure they bring so much of nostalgic joy. I used to watch cartoons as a young girl but way back then we had limited hours of operational TV and cartoons and TV watching was limited to a couple of hours in a week. We cherished it! I do not remember watching this particular one. Maybe we had no access to it.
