I didn’t like my husbands name when I first met him..

Story time.... I know you’re not supposed to judge a name but I didn’t really like it. I was introduced to him through mutual friends & at that time I didn’t know the name was actually a “nickname”. UNTIL months later we dated & I guess, I finally looked at his drivers license. I believe we went out to eat & when he paid with his card, the cashier checked his ID & I asked to see his drivers license picture. AND SAW HIS NAME WAS DIFFERENT.. all this time! & I was relieved. And then like a year or two later he was cleaning out his documents and I found his birth certificate.. it has an aka (also known as) name in addition to his name currently. And I was like what? Why didn’t you tell me! That name is even better!!! So if you’re dating someone, check their ID LOL

Never the nickname hahah. I don’t call him on either names but if I have to reference I’ll use his also known as name (it’s an American name). His real drivers license name is vietnamese. But I usually just call him hunny or babe

No need to check the ID of my husband, you cannot sign documents using a "nickname" or an "aka" in Italy and I worked with him, so I knew how he signed the documents.

We didn’t go to the same school so I didn’t know. But when I saw his school work he went by the nickname too on his paperwork and tests so I don’t know how that worked. But anyway, it worked out

@infatuatedbby My husband's middle name is the first name of my beloved uncle. I loved learning that when I met my husband in college.

That is hilarious. I never liked my husband's name, but was swimming in a pool at a CC Club, when I heard the owner of the club call her husband, who had the same name as my husband. It sounded awesome coming from her, so from that day on (we weren't married yet) I began to love his name.

lol That's like a guy I knew (I never hated him), but we all called him Scooby. I don't know why. My best friend said she saw him one day, but she said his real name. I was asking her who? and she said scooby. I still can't remember his real name.
