It was on Fire

I was in the laundromat and kept smelling smoke. As I was coming out, I saw the giant thing that people use to throw away cigarette butts. Smoke was pouring out.
I flagged down a park worker who was mowing and told him that it's on fire.
He took the top off the thing and doused the flames. He told me that someone had put a lot of paper in there. I don't know why people would do that.
Do people do stupid things where you live? I would love to hear your story.

OH yes, people can be so idiotic! One that I don't understand, is throwing trash on the ground, near a garbage can!

@akalinus thankfully i'd be'n a rural area, far from the masses 'f nutbirds who reside'n the more populated regions. society seems to continue to crumble.

@crazyhorseladycx I lived there long ago. There are a lot of wide-open spaces there.
