Winds all the night around here in San Jorge
All the night winds furious and fast
Strong blowing about 80 miles an hour
All night long they were blowing
All of us tucked up in our beds and safe
Comes the dawn all is calm
Sun begins to warm
Roses around here
Still strong without a petal blown away
Beautiful baby girl pink petals
So precious and soft in the light of the day.

I wonder how the petals manage to stay on actually very high winds all last night loads of paper everywhere too.

Our weather is bad. Our country is having a tropical typhoon Pepito. It brings heavy rains and strong winds.

Pepito is a nice name but not for that kind of weather.

Ours is called "Barbara" and is giving us a run for our money in other words stirring things up weather wise.

@lovinangelsinstead21 These does not seem to be normal roses. Normal roses would have been bared of its petals if exposed to such high winds.

They are from what they would call rambling roses and as there are so many different ones now perhaps they are meant to grow more August onwards to take tough weather situations.
That must be it as the big roses across the road are no more since yesterday.

Thanks very much, the weather is slowly getting colder but the temps shoot up 15 degrees more in the day on a good day that is.

Thanks they are actually rambling roses very strong ones so the winds have not blown them away what a gale last night like a hurricane.

Its scary but the winds have dropped to about 50 miles right now which is much better than the night before last.
