How do you get two ten year old boys who are poor spellers, and hate to write to practice their spelling words, quickly, while they have fifteen minutes free time? I do not like whining and arguments. I had a quick inspiration. Often I use a "white board", or wipe off board to "talk to one of the boys in class. I have even bought a huge package of new, bright colors of "dry erase" markers. So this is what I did . . . I let them check and correct me. From their spelling list I randomly chose words, and misspelled some of them. The boys could mark the words + and - for right and wrong. Then they got to correct me by changing, adding, or removing letters. It was a fun little game and they paid attention to their words. We all ended on a happy note. They love to tell the teacher what is correct and what is not. It sharpened their observations.

So many things you have to log on to a chrome book, remember your password and so forth and type it. This is much faster.

It is good that you figured out what will work for them to learn.

What a great idea. If you can make a game out of something, it is much more interesting for the child - and generally for the adult as well.
