Is circumcision common in your country?

In the Philippines, circumcision is very common. They usually do it at a young age. So, it really surprises us when we know people in some parts of the world don't do it. Yesterday, my friend told me that her husband got circumcized at last. He was 57. Doctors and the people around laughed because he was the oldest man they have circumcized so far. And he is French. What about in your country?

It is not common in my country. Some people choose to do it, but most people don't do it. It doesn't take place at public hospitals, so if people want to have it done they have to find a private hospital.

@LadyDuck @Janet357 Yes, I think so. Most of the people from my country who choose to have it done are immigrants from other countries.

NO, not at all, in Europe circumcision is not common at all. Back in time only Jewish were circumcised in Europe and that was the way Nazi checked if men were Jewish.

It is a custom in my religion as Hanni said, too. It's a hygiene practice for others and to me, it looks better.

It's not common here and also there is religious practices. Some religion like Islam here have it as a ritual in young age. For others it's a matter of choice.
