According to Our Oven It is Summer in Our House

Inside our house, today is Wednesday, June 7, and the time is three house later than the correct time. Oh sure, it may be fall outside of our house, but according to that digital wonder on our through-the-wall oven, it is summer inside our house! Even when snow is falling this winter, it will summer inside our house. We have tried to set the correct time-day-and-date thing on our oven several times, but so far we have not been successful. I have followed the manual's directions as to how to set the correct time, the correct day, and the correct date, but no success so far. I am just going to allow that incorrect digital display stay as it is. All we need to know is how to turn on the oven, turn the oven off, and set the oven temperature we desire, and I am pleased to say that we can do that.

Maybe your oven hates winter just as much as I do and simply refuses to accept it.

That is possible. Winter can make some ovens very unhappy.

@Corbin5 Ovens are a bit of an ornery group. They are often hot and bothered.

@porwest I do not like to cook or bake, and I do not even know how to turn on that oven and I do not want to know how to turn it on. My husband loves to cook and bake so he can use the darn thing.

Well, I will give it a few more tries using the manual. It is very touchy and when I clean the glass, all sorts of things pop up on that menu thingy. Wish the right time of day, day and month would pop up too.

That is so frustrating. The screen is so touchy and if I wipe the glass to clean it, the clock changes once again to the wrong time, day, and month and never the right time, day and month.

@Corbin5 It is frustrating, I do not use that digital clock anymore. I wonder if it has a problem or if it due to the very bad translation (surely from Chinese) of the user manual.

@LadyDuck I have returned a few items due to very bad translation. So confusing.

Oh yes, the VCRs. We spend more time trying to make those work just right than watching movies.

Yes, there is a manual that details how to set the time, month and day, but so far, that has not worked. I will have to keep trying.

Our son set it for us once, but the display is so touchy. Just cleaning the glass messes up the time, day and date. We will just have to live with the wrong display.

@Corbin5 Like you said, as long as it cooks well and you can turn it off and on, you're good to go.

I do that too, but that oven display is one thing I cannot fix, yet. I may give it another try. However, even when I wipe the glass to clean it, the display makes all kinds of changes.

That oven can be synced to our phones. We have that thing on when we did not want it on if we used our phones to control it.

Your oven has a mind of it's own apparently. Mine is pretty easy to set, but I don't know if the microwave above has the correct time or not.

Oh, it is a real stinker in my opinion. I do not need that clock on an oven but it sure is embarrassing when someone stops by and the time, month and day are as wrong as can be. I will keep trying to get it right.
