When It Rains, It Pours

Literally. It started raining yesterday. I haven't watched the weather today yet to see how many inches we got, but it's still raining. Not hard like yesterday and last night, but it's still raining.
That's also a saying. Yesterday started with an emotional breakdown. Then this morning, my son informed me my brakes went out on the car. I scrambled to find a way to therapy. I took a cab. There wasn't anyone else, they had their emergencies. My friend's basement flooded, literally from the rain. She's still dealing with it. My sister had her grandchildren overnight, so she couldn't help either. Cabs are expensive.
I called my older son to see if he could fix the brakes. He's over at my younger son's now fixing it. He called to have me watch my granddaughter while he fixed the car. I told him I couldn't pick her up or really do anything. She's with him while he works on the car.
While at the hospital I did call another friend I swim with and she picked me up from the hospital, saving me the cab fare home.
It's been a morning for everyone here. When it rains, it pours. How is your day going? Oh, I'm still at 115 degrees on my knee. I tried, but couldn't pull off 120. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. Another rainy day.

I'm glad you were able to get to your appointment and your friend was able to bring you home. I'm glad your son is able to fix your breaks. It does seem that when it rains it pours. Hang in there, better sunny days are coming. I hope you can get your knee to 120. Praying for you.

Oh wow, you are lucky to have your kids around you though. You are blessed with that. It is supposed to rain all day Sunday here., but probably not as much as next weekend when we are supposed to be clobbered.

bless yer heart, perhaps yer gettin' all the ick out so's things'll go smoothly come november when calm'll be e'en more needed. so glad yer son 'tis able to work'n those breaks. a lil bummed ya got my rain, lol.
how'd he 'xpect ya to fetch that young'un 're take care 'f her? sigh... 't least he's gettin' the work done.
perhaps by next week yer gonna've that knee 't 120. hang'n there, ya got this!

@just4him i'm sure that 't times these young'uns jest don't think... 'sides, she needs to learn how to work'n cars, too. will be helpful when she gets older :)

I don't think he understood the surgery I had. When I told her I couldn't walk well, at least not well enough to run after a two-year-old, and told him I couldn't pick her up, he realized he needed a different plan with her.
Yes, I hope everything will be better come November with this knee.

Glad to see your older son fixing your car and praying he us understanding about why you couldn't watch your granddaughter while at this time till after the second surgery and rehab when you should be able to handle her again. Perhaps tell him you would like to plan a special day for since because of quarantine for surgery you are missing her birthday party. I don't know about there but cabs here are 2 dollars to get in (and includes the first 9th of a mile) and then 25 cents for each 9th of mile after that plus25 cents a minute waiting time if you get stuck at a traffic light or railroad crossing.

Those are long storms. I've often wanted to visit Scotland. Maybe one day it will be possible.

Fortunately we have no problem though it's rainy almost everyday, our home is high enough from the river :-)

That is quite a lot of rain and well to add to it, physical troubles for you as well. I hope that your knee condition improves soon.
It must be getting colder as well?
