Well, it didn't take long before my sons were at odds with each other again. My car is fixed. My younger son told me I didn't need to pay my older son what he said he charged me because my younger son took care of it. Then he called me back and said I still needed to come up with the money. That after my son already paid him some for the car. That means my older son is getting double what he said it would cost me - $20. Now, granted that's not a lot. It's the cost of the brake lines. My son also paid for a tool my son needed to do the car. That tool isn't cheap. So, my son gets the amount paid for the tool, plus what I need to give him for fixing the car. That's greed. It also put my sons at odds with each other again.
No, I'm not going to say anything to my older son about it. That would jeopardize our relationship and we just started talking to each other. I do like being able to see my granddaughter. I'll just pay back my younger son what he paid my older son today. I'll be doing that tomorrow when he picks me up to do some shopping when he gets off work tomorrow morning.
Other than that, today has been a good day. The Packers beat the Texans 35-20. The first half could be termed a boring game. The Texans came alive in the second half and made it a good ballgame.
On a disappointing note - I missed the snow that fell on Green Bay during the game. When I changed the channel to the weather channel after the game, I saw we had a bit of snow around 1 PM. My attention was on the game, not what was happening out the window.

I´m sorry that your sons behave like toddlers while being big men. I don´t have those problems with my daughters but I confess that it was my husband who took cake of not spoiling them. I don´t envy your snow, I´m being happy with my spring.

It wasn't babysitting. I never charge for babysitting. It all worked out. My younger son bought the tool, my older son will pay him back for that, and I paid for the brake job. So, there wasn't any greed as I originally thought.

dang't, i'd so hoped they'd 't least be civil 'n build a better relationship. i truly dislike that usin' a grand's a pawn 'f sorts. went through that with the stepdaughter. now those young'uns 're grown 'n blame me fer not havin' a relationship with 'em.

'tis 2pm, the winds've howled fer days. windchill 'tis risen to 7(f) - our 'high' fer the day. winter storm warnin' through wednesday 't 6pm. 6-12" snow possible, the winds to continue. no sun, jest varyin' shades 'f gray, sprinkled with tiny white schtuff. kinda a hybrid 'twixt snow 'n sleet. very icy out.

@crazyhorseladycx Your weather is worse than here. Stay safe. We didn't get much snow, just a dusting.
I got the full story this morning and it's all good. They're not at odds with each other as I thought, which is good.

I know. It wouldn't take much for my relationship with him to be over again. So, I need to just let it alone. I'll pay my younger son back today for what he paid the older son.
I'm sorry you went through it too. It would be wonderful if people would learn to get along with one another.
I know those are not your favorable conditions. I hope it warms up and the winds die and the sun comes out to play today.

We watched the football game in Denver, they got quite a bit of snow on the field! Just pray about your two sons, their relationship. It's hard for a mother to stay out of it, but most of the time this works best. My son and daughter didn't communicate for a while. Now, they are best friends again:)

@just4him Jealousy is an enemy, we will never understand. It's apparent that Aaron is jealous of Edgar, in some way and that's why he rips into him. While Edgar is caring and tender hearted(like his mother.) My oldest sister is like Aaron, she's temperamental and resorts to verbal abuse. Only God can tame the human tongue

I'm glad that your car is fixed which your good sons are responsible for its 'revival' so that their beloved mother can use it.
Repairs and parts are not cheap. Times are hard and money isn't easy to be had at this moment because of the mass lockdown. Are the essential mechanic repair shops still locked up?

@just4him Very talented son! My car, a Ford SW 1992 had the same problem as yours, break pads. It costed my hubby $680. Plus with other problems that the mechanic had to fix, too. That was 2016.

I hope we are gonna have a snowy winter this season. Hardly any snow last winter. It's sad when people are at odds over money, especially when the people are family.
