Winter Blues?

I am not feeling the best this weekend. I have a 3-day headache that's been going on and off. My back is also hurting, I think it's from sleeping for a week at a hotel with a mattress that is not set-up like the one we have at home. I am not sure if the two are related or not, but I hate feeling like this. I also feel a bit depressed, maybe because of the winter blues? I tried to feel better by lighting up my favorite calming scented candle, having chamomile tea, rubbing lavender oil on my head and pulse, and even going to our dry sauna. These made me feel better for a while, but now the headache is back. I took a couple more Ibuprofen so hopefully that takes care of it. I am just done! When husband returned from the gym, I told him that I am still in pain. He touched my forehead and he said that I don't feel feverish, which is good. When I mentioned about my backache, he asked me to stand up. I asked him if he will give me a massage this time? He said he will massage me before bed time, but not to get used to it because he will not give me a massage every night . He then asked me to cross my arms in front of my chest, then he stood behind me and gathered his hands under my arms just right in front of my chest, then lifted me up and sort of shook me down. Instantly, I heard and felt my back pop. It felt so good, but I still have some pain, and the headache is still there. But I am promised a massage so tonight I know I will have a good sleep.

Winter blues might explain the depression. The body pains could be a result of an illness popping up that you didn't realize you had. Many viruses. can be in the body and just hit like a freight train.

That is also why I made sure to keep up with my Zinc and vitamin C, on top of the fresh fruits that we can get from our local groceries.

Thank you! I'm getting old, so I do not bounce back as fast as when I was younger.

@Raine38 There are many older people who are as energetic as ever. Look at Cliff Richard. He's just turned 80! Andre Rieu is 71. I'm 51 and I'm not as energetic as either of them!
