Hunting injuries and bought a new bed

My husband came over last night and told me his son got shot when they were hunting. He acted like it was nothing and I was so freaked out.
The game lands they went hunting in they released a bunch of pheasants at the gates instead of dispersing up throughout it. So everyone who went hunting that morning all wound up being in the same area.
Some guys were shooting and didn’t see his son and sprayed him with bullets. That’s probably not the right term but inside a shotgun shell they have little bb kind of things they spread out when shot. He was hit by a bunch of those bbs. His arm and neck etc. Thank god not his eyes!
Today we tried clearing some of the junk out of my cellar like a broken dehumidifier and old glass shower doors but my husbands hip was hurting to badly to much. We wanted to clear out my computer room and put the bottom of my stepsons bunk bed in there for the nights he’s here until he moves in fully.
Since my husbands hip was hurting to badly we couldn’t do that so we went to Raymour and Flannigan and bought a new bed. We think that’s why my shoulders and my husbands hip hurt so bad is because of how old my mattress is. It will be delivered Tuesday.
Photo is a cute decoration I saw at Lowe’s today.

Sorry to hear about your husband, I hope he feels better soon. Sorry about your son getting shot, too. And, yes, sprayed is a fairly accurate term for what happened. Hope he recovers well from the incident.

@shaggin Have you talked to him about it? I'll never understand why people still think hunting is a good thing. I can understand in remote off-the-grid places, but not in a society like ours. It's just not necessary.

@kaylachan I think it’s healthier eating those animals then ones in stores full of antibiotics and growth hormones etc but being a vegetarian I’m not a fan of meat eating.

@TheHorse hmm the kid would have to be like 2 in order to sit on it. I think my 4 year old niece would have been to big.
Thankfully the guy who shot him was far enough away he got sprayed by them but none stuck in the skin. Just left a little mark. Thank god though they missed his eye or it could have been worse.

The guys who shot your stepson should have to pay the medical bills. At least he is OK. . I hope you can all share your home in peace.

@snowy22315 it just barely broke the skin so he didn’t need to go to the ER thankfully.

@Tina30219 we got a call the bed won’t arrive until the following Tuesday or we can pick it up at the store Thursday which is an hour drive. My husband really wants the new bed so I think he’s going to drive to pick it up.
I saw the little spots where he got shot it wasn’t bad thankfully but I could have been a lot worse which is scary.

@shaggin I bet you both will be looking forward to sleeping on the new bed when you get it. Glad it was not that bad with your stepson and like you said it could have been worse.

@Courtlynn it should be at the store today for my husband to pick up. I have to make sure it’s wrapped in plastic as it’s raining.

Thankful the hunting accident was minimal.
There’s nothing like a new bed! I think you’ll be singing its praises for weeks!
