The Cat That Play Fetch

Lala, my five months old kitten loves to play fetch. I don't know how she develop that habit. But she would bring her soft toys and wait until I throw it. Then she'll fetch it. It would continue several times until she's bored. I wonder whether my cat is secretly a dog Is it common or rare for cat to play this game?

@prinzcy My cat wants to be with me and when I have to work on the computer I have to close the door for quiet and she cannot come in unless she does not want her pets. There are certain toys she likes that I play with her.
