That's the saying of my daughter while we are doing her modules for her schooling... Education nowadays becomes very painful to the teachers, students and for us parents as well... Without physical or face to face interraction the education that we have today is quite a burden...

Kids are not ready for this kind of teaching, they get bored, they lose interest in what they do.

@simplfred I agree with you, parents are not trained to be teachers.

@LadyDuck Yeah... The parents must be trained first, I think... As I see it, modular education will mostly vain because mostly parents will do the task not the student...

I can't blame you. While online learning might be good for some, it isn't for others. To think we're all the same, we're not. Never will be. Problem is, most kids, especially younger kids, aren't very self-motivated. They have short attention spans and get bored easily. However, you just do the best you can with what you have.

I agree with you... Actually, my daughter is the top student of her class... If she is having a hard time for the education style today I can't imagine how the other kids doing... But it is what it is now the so called new normal... I just hope we can get used to it as time goes by...

I can feel that since it is hard for working parents to cope up halping their children to learn. The roles of the teachers are only to assess if the learners have grasp the modules they sent but it is the parents now that also need to teach their children from the modules sent by teachers. Online is ideal if the net is strong and everyone can afford to have one. My wife works in an exclusive schools that is why all students are on online learning. Even there is teacher intervention already it still is hard for teachers to guide and teach them online since you really do not know if students are paying attention to you since you can only see their faces and they can hide it if they want to.

I agree with you... We applied for online learning but since many students from the public cannot do it, ot becomes module plus online... Answering 9 subjects or teaching the kids surely take a lot of time...

@simplfred Well just take it easy by not overwhelming them. Just make sure that they are able to finish it by the time they will be assessed by their teachers. I think there is still 4-5 days to do that if the child is already complaining maybe it;s time to stop and let them rest for a while.

I think it's not. Today's system of education is a shared responsibility among parents, teachers and the government.

Most of the parents are complaining though especially those who have 2 or 3 children since the module will surely eat their time on teaching their children.

@simplfred Now they know how terrible to be a teacher handling 30 to 40 students. They're complaining for they've only 2 or 3 children.

It is all for their safety but having to say that lack of interactions with her friends will result in a suffering in the social skill.

And I wonder how much the lack of other students around them is making the situation even worse. It must make the time go by soooo slowly.
