Buzz takes a nap from his duties

While we were at the Carnarvon Space and Technology Museum in Western Australia, we met Buzz, the resident cat, who meets and greets visitors to the Museum. That is, if he isn’t too tired. Buzz is a rescue cat and is always waiting at the door at 6.00 am. He inspects the premises, greets the early arrivals then settles down for a quiet nap. I guess he was named after Buzz Aldrin, who opened Phase 1 of the museum in 2012.
I might be missing in action for a few days as we’re going away again, taking the caravan to an endurance ride. We’re catching up with friends further south both tonight and Thursday nights before taking photos on Friday and Saturday. I may not even be here on Monday as I have to report for jury duty. If I look grumpy enough, maybe I’ll be passed over. So take care, everyone, and stay safe.

That's a very cute cat. It seems like he's got a healthy happy life. He does his job quite well.

@JudyEv I know I do. I'm used to seeing them in pet stores and vets offices. So this is strange, as it would normally be considered an animal-free zone.

@kaylachan I guess those who are allergic to cats are less than pleased to see him.

@judyev To avoid being picked you need to dress really eccentrically, wearing a big floppy hat with a bunch of wilting flowers in it and having your underwear over your clothes. It helpd if you have a cat in your bag who leaps out at the appropriate moment. No-one wants that kind of a nutcase on the jury. It worked for me, You might also try winking at the judge but that might attract a fine for being in contempt.

@kobesbuddy Oh that's good, and maybe it'll leave a great steaming big message for the court.

Or bring in a huge dog, say it's there as a health benefit.

@JudyEv Buzz is now a highly respected, self-appointed employee of the museum! This is his daily responsibility!(and we view what he does best)

I bet Buzz is cool. Does he wear a hat and tip it to you? That is so cool that he was named after Buzz Aldrin. He was an Astronaut. Wow, that is really cool. Good luck on jury duty. Is it at least an interesting case? I hope you will be able to get out of it.

Buzz says he will be greeting again shortly, after his nap. I think my "Buzz' is napping too. He has woken mommy up, completed his breakfast, and checked to make sure nothing interesting was happening in the woods out back..Time for a snooze.

No one will sneak into the museum with Buzz on guard! Looks like a purr-fect day for the resident cat is an all day nap?

Thanks. We've done the veterinary trot-out photos and Vince is processing them. It was supposed to rain tomorrow but the forecast is now for showers late on Sunday which will be much better.
And yes, Buzz is certainly a lovely-looking cat.

Yes, perhaps all his social life occurs in the evenings.

I always envied cat sleep.
