Oh you man of little mind who profess to know it all, presupposing God Whose greatness and magnificence is beyond your comprehension.
You have a cat and you profess to know a cat, but there are some thirty-eight known species of cats, do you know it all?
You have a dog and you profess to know a dog, but there are some three hundred and forty known breeds of dogs, do you know it all?
What about the birds, when there are approximately ten thousand species, and all you see are the ones endemic in your space.
And you think you can comprehend God?
How do we even begin to comprehend our God?
Jerome offered thirty years of his life translating the Scriptures from Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic into Latin, for us to have the Vulgate Catholic Bible. He said that 'Ignorance of the Scriptures is ignorance of God.'
That is how we begin, by reading. The scriptures will bestow us the grace of understanding.

Yes, just a mere speck in the infinite universe. Always there will be greater or lesser persons than we are.
You are wise.
Thank you. Have a blessed day, too.

@jdbces I have grey hair! It's the wisdom of the old.
Your response up there shows you are wise beyond your years.
But let me thank you for acknowledging the wisdom, that rarely happens and am grinning from ear to ear.
Your response up there shows you are wise beyond your years.

One of my favorite passages in Psalms 1:1-3
Blessed is the man who hath not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the chair of pestilence: (DOUAY-RHEIMS)
2 sed in lege Domini voluntas eius et in lege eius meditabitur die ac nocte
sed in lege Domini voluntas eius et in lege eius meditabitur die ac nocte
But his will is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he shall meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree which is planted near the running waters, which shall bring forth its fruit, in due season. And his leaf shall not fall off: and all whatsoever he shall do shall prosper.

Those verses probably refers to man's pursuit of happiness. Man is prodded to walk with God. After all, man is only a pilgrim on earth. The metaphor likening man to a 'tree which is planted near running waters' most likely alludes to the tree of life in the Garden of Eden.
Thus we keep on walking, till our soul rests in 'Thee, our God.'
A good meditative prayer. That is why the shepherd boy called David became a great king.
Thank you for the foreign language up there. I went through it verbatim. Understood this and that but I had to resort to your translation for understanding.

@kanuck1 Yup. I know that's Latin. We sing the Agnus Dei during Mass.
We also sing the Tantum Ergo during Holy Hour.

@eileenleyva The foreign language is Latin. I copied it from the original Vulgate language. I don't know the language but can make some of the words due to my limited understanding of a few other languages. I did take a short course in Latin in High School but that was a long time ago.
