Hubby struggles with his weight. He does not weigh enough, and the VA is fighting to bring his weight up.
Other than the first two appointments in person with the dietician, everything else has been on the phone or video.
When asked about his weight, he said he did not trust our scale. They ordered a quite nice one, and sent it to us. We made a place for it in the kitchen.
At first he was discouraged, because it looked like we had to download an app. Hubby does not have, nor want, a smart phone. He had tried just putting the batteries in.
I talked with a staff member when she called to see if we had received it. She said it did not need to be connected or online to work. I just needed to read the manual.
I did. I experimented with getting it to turn on, etc.
Then I happened to look inside the battery compartment.
Hubby had put one of the four batteries in wrong.
No wonder it would not work.
We both like the new scale, not that I have used it or anything.

It is much nicer than anything I would have bought and I feel like it is more accurate.

Yes, it was. It lets him track his successes much better.

Me too. I hated to think they had wasted time and money on it.

It's always the strangest things that we miss. I'm glad the scale works and your hubby likes it at least. If I were to get an at-home scale, a talking scale or a smart scale /with app would be my only options. I'm blind and don't really have distance vision, so I can't look down and read it. Good thing I'm a techy type of girl.

The dietician was shocked to see hubby, because she is usually asked to help people lose.
