Wims vs Gardner-Johnson

Chicago Bears receiver, Javon Wims has been suspended for two games for punching CJ Gardner-Johnson, a New Orleans Saint during their game. When watching the after shows, you can see that Gardner-Johnson came up to Wims after a play and poked him inside the helmet. One says that he took his mouth guard. However, retaliation came out of the blue when Wims walked up to him, slapped him upside the helmet. Yes, Wims thought it was wise to hit him in the head while he was still wearing a helmet. Then tried to punch him, again with the helmet on. Later Wims accused Gardner-Johnson of spitting on him. Of course Gardner-Johnson said he didn't. I can only judge on what they show me and honestly there was no spitting. There were a lot of words and a lot of action but no spitting. Plus, if you were going to do something about whatever he did, the poke or grab inside your helmet, you should have done it after he did. Not wait a few plays down the line and just blind side the guy. The NFL has taken their stance saying that they won't put up with this in the NFL as it's bad for the league as well as for the kids that watch and look up to these players. Wims has appealed the suspension and it will be heard Tuesday, today, I think. No one thinks it will be overturned but it should be interesting to see what he has to say. *picture from google

It appears that some football players make dumb decisions like getting into fights versus their opponents during the game.

It's true. It's a sport where tempers fly all too often. Sometimes they let it go but this time they didn't
