How annoying!

Every now and then I come across a post that I would love to respond to, but then find that the poster has blocked me at some time - maybe years ago - and my words of wisdom must go unsaid! I do so wish people wouldn't do that!

My attitude is usually "Well, blow you, then! If you don't want my pearls of wisdom, then I don't want to feed them to swine who choose to block me!" (or something like that, anyway), I agree that it's frustrating and the people who block people deliberately are actually abusing the system (the 'block' feature was meant solely as a temporary measure to stop real harassment and abusive behaviour until it could be resolved by Admin). It is rather too easy (especially on a mobile phone) to block people accidentally. which ought to be remedied, in my humble opinion, by inserting a message that says something like "I see that you are trying to block this person. Did you really mean to do this? Please contact Admin if you wish to continue!" EDIT: The issue may be resolved soon. It seems that the person concerned has no idea who you are or why she might have blocked you!

Yes - thank you for this. The matter has - as you suggested - now been sorted out to everyone's satisfaction.

I always think "Well then, block them back!" first, since I'm not a very grown-up person in that way. But they won't notice so no point :-/

@indexer Perhaps you ought to send your responses to me and I could post them? I'd attribute the words to you and that would serve them right for trying to silence you. On second thoughts ...

@indexer I was more concerned about placing a chocolate biccy next to hot tea.

@xFiacre Yes - it would make the washing-up a bit tricky, too! I think I'll stick to having the biccies on a plate and a larger mug!

It was the post about a mug with a compartment for the biccies - it struck me that the problem would be when you tried to drink from the mug and the biccies fell out! In other words - nothing particularly profound and you are welcome to pinch my words of wisdom!

Sometimes it's done unintentionally.

I'm sure you're right about this - and in this case it has now been sorted out.

I haven“t blocked you In fact I blocked once once someone and then decided that it was absurd to block someone.
