Insulated. . . isolated

I have often felt this way. No close personal contacts. Corona has made it worse. Then a family situation has made it nearly unbearable. I am glad I have a job. In my mind I feel as if I am rolled up in a big layer of foam rubber, like a mattress pad, and no one ever gets through to me. With Corona we have limited contact as well. I just want to withdraw to my corner, and my computer.

I want quality people around. Right now, though, even those I used to interact with are needing to be distant.

@Tampa_girl7 Absolutely, you know a little bit what is going on around the world, the daily life of the others, you feel less "lonely".

I am feeling pretty isolated too. I only see my husband and son daily since March. I on occasion see someone else outside, but from a distance.

Going back to work at school is good for me, but Corona hides around the corner and in the halls. Hubby drives me to stores but does not go in. His health is more vulnerable than mine is.

Virtual hugs to you. I get that wrapped up feeling. I am glad I have my part time job. Two weeks of being required to stay home has me brooding too much.

We have had lots of changes ever since we started back to work and I was questioning it, but I find it is best for me to feel useful and have some distant contacts. No one is my close friend, but we are all entwined.

@paigea I have not had a direct exposure yet. Some kids and classes have. It is a mess, but necessary.

@GardenGerty I go to various schools, so not close to anyone, but nice to have contacts. Had to isolate this week and have had no initiative to get anything done here. I need my job.

No, I do not talk to family much online and there is an ongoing problem that is making me feel alone. My closest friends are often very busy.

I am sorry how you are feeling. I tend to be a loner. It’s nice to have people to talk to though when we need which fortunately I have one close friend I can do that and I can come here to chat when I need some socialization.

I am not the type to contact others, even family. Most of the time I would spend it alone. People who don't know me well might think I am a cheerful person. Actually, that's only for work. After work, don't expect me to reply to any of the messages.

@Courtlynn When I get it it is often a doozy. My daughter reminded me once that for the last 25 years I have been taking care of sick family and dealing with drama. I told her that I felt like I had lost twenty years or so. She says that is why.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for loving Heather. Lord, I ask that you completely overwhelm her with your amazing love. Father, let her feel so loved, so warm, so at peace that she never knows this feeling of isolation again. Change her focus to be on you Lord, help her to see your amazing love for her in her every day life. Show her, open her eyes to more of you Father. In your presence God the enemy must flee! We thank you that in you there is no darkness at all. Help us to renew our minds every day in you and your word. In Jesus mighty name I pray, AMEN!

Thank you Jennifer. Yes, I am doing some Thankfulness scriptures, but in my family there is a dark valley right now that is awful and deep.
