I drink this product for a quite a time but like other products, there were days that I missed it. It is said that is good for the tummy and must be taken everyday because it contains probiotic.

When Yakult is finally sold in our groceries here, I start buying it again. My husband likes it too. I think it has probiotic, which is good for digestion. However, for someone with diabetes or high sugar, this may not be a good choice. But everything taken in excess can be harmful anyway.

Yes I attended on a seminar about gut health issues and one recommended drink is Yakult since it contains good bacteria that helps in proper digestion of food in your stomach. One thing to note is that the lifespan of this bacteris quite short that is why when you take it you should eat foods that tjis bacteria loves to consume in your tummy. Fruits, vegetables and fermented foods like kimchi should be consumed so this good bacteria can easily thrive in your stomach. If you don’t eat such food they wouldn’t survive in your tummy that long.

@ZedSmart I was enlightened by it too. They say that you should take care of you gut health more than any organs since it’s from your gut that health issues starts from you heart, liver and every organs of your body.

@rsa101 Appropriate eating habit is very important. Something that we ignore or never given proper attention.

I love Yakult, Vitagen or any probiotic drinks. Usually I would drink Calpis at work, which I can buy at the vending machine.

I drink this too, but I don't really think about the benefits. I drink it simply because I like it.

I'm not really certain about the health benefits but my elder sister and my baby loves Yakult very much. It's always part of my sister's grocery list.

Many tasty yogurts and yogurt drinks have a lot of sugar in them - so I wouldn't call them healthy. They may have health benefits, like good bacteria for the gut, but all that sugar isn't beneficial to anyone.

Yes, you have the point. Sugar content must be checked and given consideration.

I never drink Yakult, but i've drunk the same-type product,it called Wahaha,it's Chinese Yakult.I had drunk a lot of it when i was a child. But now i seldom drink it,it's just too childish.Meantime,i guess it's healthy to the body, after all,it comes from the milk.

I'll check the sugar content on it. Maybe fair enough.
