At night, when having my class online, my students and I are talking about the venus fly trap. I got an idea to have one, two, or more than three. I am thinking that it can be useful for mosquitoes. Today, I had checked one of the local shopping apps in my country and found them on Shopee. So, I ordered two for today. Do you think that the venus fly trap is effective to kill insects? I am not sure if this is effective for mosquito but one thing for sure... you need to check on reviews and details on the plant you are planning to buy, because some would give you a very low price but with slight issues and that there is no root or something... meaning the plant will not live long. Thank you for sharing and 9-9 is very near go for free shipping. Stay safe and God bless.

@Shavkat that's cool! If you are living near the province I bet you can get it for free and with good quality. You know what I want while living in the city... is to create a little garden on our kitchen area, we have a medium window there, hoping I can put little pots and plant some herbs. I am just thinking on how not to attract ants. Lol! But if you know something about planting.. I am willing to wait for your response and learn from it. God bless and stay safe, have a great day ahead.

@luisadannointed I am not good at planting. My younger brother is into this. I do think that I have a green thumb, but not exploring the planting skill yet. I hope you can have the garden in your kitchen department.

I am also thinking that, too. Since I am living in the mountainside of our country, I might ask some friends if they do have them. Perhaps I can get it for free, too.

Interesting plant to have. I am just wondering if it needs a lot of sunshine since my place does not have much of a sunlight. I too got tempted to buy one since we do have a lot of crawling insects around I think they can get a lot from here if it gets attracted to them. But I am not sure if they need some sunlight as well which is not present in where I am living.

I haven't research more about it. But I think the cool weather will make them grow abundantly. I can't wait to have what I ordered online.

LOL But I am told there are plants that keep insects including mosquitoes away. I am not sure. I just visited this Pragati Resorts and they have this collection of plants there.
