What did you have for dinner last night?

Inspired by a fellow MyLotter, I picked up some asparagus yesterday when I went grocery shopping. By dinner time, I was only moderately hungry, so I cooked up the small dish you see here. I boiled up the asparagus until it was "to the tooth," cooked up some bacon, and enjoyed my dinner with a glass of wine. No toothpicks were injured in the generation of this meal. What did you have for dinner last night?

We had roast pork&gravy, macaroni&cheese, canned spinach. Your supper looks delicious!

It was simple and good! Yours sounds filling. Is canned spinach good? That's not on my "shopping list," though frozen Indian spinach is.

@TheHorse Myself, I prefer frozen spinach, it's delicious! Raw spinach makes a nice salad, too.

I've never tried asparagus. Uhm... "al dente" means you have to have teeth to eat it. (I'm assuming you still have a tooth or two, pony. ) I made pork chops and stuffing. It was pretty good.

Asparagus is yummy! But it makes your pee smell funny. I used to know why.

My appetite is quite bad at the moment and l am not too keen on eating. My wife is constantly nagging as l guess l am eating about a quarter of my meals.Yesterday l had a real urge to eat an English Breakfast minus the egg of course which l had for dinner last night! I will not eat asparagus because of the nasty after effects which apparently affects men more than women!

I hope your appetite returns. I don't mind the odd after affects of asparagus. I hadn't realized it was more of a "guy" thing!

It's not really asparagus season here right now, but I did have some not that long ago. I roasted it in the oven with a drizzle of olive oil - oh my it was SO good!

That would honestly be a bit light for me to call it a dinner. But I cannot argue with the menu choice. I made a concoction of sorts with a couple leftover hamburgers and some chicken with some pasta sauce, noodles, onions, and mushrooms. It was actually very good.
