How in the hell?

While I'm sitting here, ready to pull my hair out trying to log onto my husband's account, (so I can do his open enrollment for his medical) I get a push notification on my phone saying I have a script ready to pick up. Now, the odd thing... I didn't order any. I check the push notification, and sure enough, they did fill a script. For a medication I stopped taking months ago. I've refused it I don't know how many times, and here, out of the blue, I get a notification for it. Yep. I'm all but ready to pull out my hair.

I ask this question every time I pick up my scripts. What is surprising about this time, it was auto-filled without my knowledge. I don't even have auto-fill set for any of my meds.

Hmmm if you already told them you don't want it - I just wouldn't pick it up. Sounds like maybe some wires got crossed or something?

I thought so, too. I never sent in an order, for any of it. And, as I predicted, I have a text message informing me of the same thing.

I have. Walgreens restocks it until the next time I order meds. But, I didn't order any this time.

I don't get that many, but Walgreens is one I pay attention to. Because I do order my meds from them. I just hadn't ordered anything, and I have one ready for pick up. I'm going to refuse it of course.

@Nakitakona I turned all my notifications off, except for messages (text) E-mail (gmail) and Walgreens. Basically, any company that spams my phone with notifications gets shut off so I don't have to deal with them.

@kaylachan I'm also selective in considering those push notifications.

I have been doing both. I was caught off guard, because I never submitted an order for any meds. And, I picked up my scripts for the ones I did order last month.

I know, exactly. My doctor's office knows I don't want it. Walgreens knows I don't want it.... yet, there it is. Doubble checked the app. Watch, tomorrow I'll get a text message, too. Might've gotten one tonight, but the pharmacy is closed.

I get notifications when any of my scripts are due for refill--I just ignore the ones I don't need anymore and I don't have that much hair left to pull out!!

Well at least you're not charged unless you get it, right? Someone's not pulling it from their file it however it's done there.
I had a notifications come that I was running out of one which I re ordered early while another only had about a week left and I've heard not a word.

My insurer is always sending me e-mail notifications for med refills before I'm even close to finishing them. I've had my doctor submit refills to my pharmacy CVS when it should go through my mail order. I have to diligently watch to make sure doctor and insurer don't get their signals crossed. I understand your frustration

I have. If we plan to go out tomorrow, I plan on asking my husband to take me to Walgreens and strighten out this mess. Or at least get them to restock the med.
