Another storm has landed..really sad.

Philippines

People were just barely recovering from the last typhoon and now here comes another one. I don't mind the rain, but the strong winds frightens me more because we have loose gutters and rooftops. But nothing compare to those already vulnerable to the strong winds and rain. I hope the people have already evacuated to a nearest shelter.

True it is uncommon for us to experience that storms comes this frequent. It is sad moment for my father in the Province that their electricity was just restored last night and now they are power less again because the typhoons started toppling the posts that were just recently erected after they were hit by the previous typhoon.

Sorry to hear about this. Wind can cause such destruction whether it's a tornado, hurricane or typhoon. When my country got hit with Hurricane Sandy the area was devastated and many lost there homes and had no where to live.

@Letranknight2015 Yes, flooding can be so severe people actually have to climb on their roofs and wait to be rescued. This has happened often with hurricanes which hit the U.S.

Hello @ZedSmart What scares me about this is covid, they can't afford to be squeezing themselves in those centers.

It seems natural for the Philippines to always be visited by typhoons every year. At least 20 typhoons are recorded every year. Just stay safe.
