Now I have to say that this little critter was a total surprise! A cat. Not our cat, we don't have a cat. The last two cats here were when I kept one of my daughter's cats for a while and the one that ran off was not a solid gray cat. I don't even know of anyone that lives the closest to me that has a gray cat.
So this little darling is a complete mystery. It looks like he/she enjoys sharpening her claws on the railroad tie.
I hope you are enjoying the photos we are catching on the trail camera.

I don't know!! I hope she wasn't dumped. A kitten was the first rescue when we moved here. She was up high in a tree and meowed so much hubby got a ladder and got her down. After that the other cats around started visiting and we ended up with about 20 cats here. I finally got rid of them all as they were scratching the paint up on our cars. There were several neighbors looking for barn cats! I guess so--they were all at our house!

If the cat has a home she will return to it eventually!

@kareng Possibly a descendant of hers that is wild. As long as she dont bother anything she might help control mice for you.

@crazyhorseladycx It was just a nightmare when they took over here. Wouldn't mind so much if I had a barn for them to live in.

I wonder if it could be feral? Cute cat. Yes, I am enjoying the photos of the critters.

Cats can roam a very wide territory, so it's hard to say where that one came from. It could be someone's house cat, or it could be a feral cat. Either way, it looks to be in good, healthy shape.

@kareng Have you captured anything interesting on the camera yet, like Bigfoot or aliens?
