Power is back on

Philippines
November 12, 2020 6:08am CST
During the typhoon, they shut down the power around 12 midnight. I didn't get any straight sleep because of the strong winds. Good thing I have flash light, candles and battery operated fans, even bought new batteries. It wasn't easy but at least we had a drum and few buckets of water. It's not easy having a black out during typhoon but at least It's not worst compare to other people. They literally went up the roof to avoid the floods.

Electricity is one of the most important things that we need. I had a big problem during the previous typhoon because most of my appliances are electricity dependent. So I can't even heat water for my coffee. So I decided to buy a gas stove. My next project is a gen set in preparation for next year. But I'll gonna buy it during summer. On the other hand, yes, we must be thankful that we only experience black out. There are places that suffered from flooding which is really dangerous. I hope the people there are okay now.

@Letranknight2015 Flood control projects and programs should be among the priorities of the current government since it is not a small issue since it can cause the lives of many.

This is why I didn't complain when the power was out @ARIES1973 others have it worst than we are. We used to have a kettle but mom gave it away months ago.

That is right, it is never easy. I am glad it is now back. The electricity was never shutdown here. Though the flood is already gone, we don't have water supply.
