This week's Wacky Wednesday

On Wednesdays the schedule for the 4th grade in the afternoon is thrown out the window. We call it Wacky Wednesday and the kids adjust. Instead of an after lunch recess and a third learning block they have a time in the school library, with a story, and then on alternate weeks they have guidance. Today is wackier than ever. Part of my bus duty involves going out of town to another district. That district is dismissing at 1:00 p.m. today. I guess it is best it is happening on Wacky Wednesday because my afternoon kiddo at Marion will not need me, so I can go pick up my Hillsboro students and take them home. Is it any wonder I am a little crazy? Hope to see you later. I need to eat breakfast, which today is leftover lunch foods.

It got more complicated, because we have a para out, and are training a substitute, but I was put with a child who has lots of troubles.

No, that probably is not what people think of. But by saying that it helps our kids who have trouble when their routine is disrupted.

It is hard on the teaching staff but it is even harder on the kids. Extremely hard for special needs students who rely on structure.

It can be. I am a detail type person and often find that I have to keep other people informed.
