Not Fuming Angry at All

I was outside this afternoon and noticed my Doodles pumpkins (pumpkins grown from the seeds of a pumpkin that our beloved deceased cat once sniffed and rubbed his furry little cheek on) were eaten by something.
Perhaps it was the chipmunks he no longer catches.
Perhaps it was the deer he no long runs after.
Perhaps it was any hungry animal that comes out of the woods.
At this point, they can eat all of them. They must eat, too.
I’m just happy that I have plenty more on the mantle over my fireplace. Must keep Doodles pumpkins going for as long as possible

We had the same thing happen here, turkeys were coming right up on the porch to eat them! When Jay saw them, he ran out to chase them away. Did they come back the next day? Yup they certainly did!

That is the first thing I noticed about your photo
! Here I would be blaming it on the squirrels or maybe raccoons for sure. You are so kind for letting them eat your Doodle pumpkins . . . you know I'd be screaming!! But you're right - the critters need their nutrition too. And surely Doodle pumpkins are the best

At least you fed some poor starving animal, Now you can put the bitten pumpkins for whoever wants them and replace them with new ones. Perhaps try your pitching arm and throw those pumpkins into the woods,

Thanks! My son and I took such good care of these Doodles pumpkins. I'm sure his spirit would enjoy catching the critters, however, but he must be as happy as we are to feed the poor animals who are probably so hungry. It's freezing here and nothing is growing anymore.

Yes you are right. Those animals must live too. They need food to enjoy it.

Glad you still have more. I am surprised they had left them alone this long. Mine are out by the dog run which helps keep the deer away.

Are you going to collect seeds from the Doodles pumpkins to plant and harvest again next year? It would be nice to keep the Doodles legacy going year after year.

@DianneN That's awesome! It would be great if you could keep growing more and more Doodles pumpkins every year!
And thanks, it's always nice when I get to interact with you.
