Walking Session + WEIGHT LOSS

United States
November 23, 2020 8:43am CST
Today's walking session was forced. I really didn't feel like walking at all. Actually, I'd say it took a mile of walking before I was glad that I got out there and did it. I walked 80 minutes today because I only walked 40 yesterday. I'm walking most of the same streets as always, but I might approach them differently. As I've explained before, most of the roads in my neighborhood link to other roads that link to the "main road" that connects our neighborhood together. Think of my neighborhood as being horseshoe shaped (well, because it is for the most part) and then give the horseshoe connecting roads. That's my neighborhood more or less. I weighed myself when I came in and I'm down a total of 6 lbs since I started this second half of my weight loss journey so YAY! Getting there!

Wow 80 minutes? That's great! Even 40 minutes is really good I think. Congrats on the weight loss!

Thank You! I've been lazier lately. I think tomorrow I need to make myself go for another 80 minutes.

@MommyOfEli2013 I am beginning to feel as if it takes so much work too! I know I have to keep at it though. I'm seriously considering doing a few days of just bone broth as my meal. Have a few very low carb days and then a few intense days of exercise to boost my weight loss.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I can understand, being lazier is just easier sometimes! But I guess we won't succeed with doing that! I know I need to get back to my diet and exercising but it seems like it takes so much work!

@Hannihar yes, thank you. I almost walked up the toughest hill in my neighborhood this morning but I thought I might get too out of breath and decided I wouldn't. Maybe tomorrow I will go out later in the day so it's warmer.

Thank You. I was a little lazier today, but i think my body is tired from walking so much the past few days and it was cold outside. I will try to do exercises inside instead.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I can see how your body would be tired because you got a lot of exercise outside. I would see how you would want to exercise inside since it is cold out there.

@thelme55 That will be nice. It's great to spend time with our friends when we can. There's a park near my friend that is beautiful. It is up in the mountains with lots of walking trails

I hope you can as well. It's nice to be able to go out and walk just to enjoy nature. I do hear the sounds of the major roads around me (I'm near a highway) but it's still nice.

Haha, I don't really have anyone to take pics of me, but I could try to take decent ones of myself. I usually walk an hour every mornin'

@JimBo452020 I once went to get a new State ID card the same day I got a photo work ID. The Photo work ID was perfect, the DMV photo made me look like I'd just rolled out of bed.

I don't blame you for wanting to get home to watch it live. I'm not a big fan of sports, but I'd be the same way about a show I loved. I'm hoping it will to stay nice enough for a walk for a few more weeks yet.

Walking is good but I seldom go for walks any more. Maybe I should start again for the new year.

I started small with trying for 250 steps per hour. You could do that, even if it's just to the kitchen and back.

@Courtlynn I hope you enjoyed your walk if you took it. I went on a walk this morning after going to the store, but I walked more leisurely so didn't really get my heart rate up enough to make much of a difference.

Thank You. I have to sometimes push through it. My legs burn a little bit as I walk up some of the hills, but the more I walk the better my legs feel. I just hate the momentary burn.

I started the ketogenic (low carb) diet during this pandemic and have been able to follow it very well. I didn't think I was going to be able to do that. I know how hard it is to stop the temptation to eat unhealthy. You'll get there.
