Super low electric bill!

I was thrilled to see that my power bill was about 100 dollars less than the previous month. I was thinking could I have really used that less much electricity? I think what it was is the electric company usually gives us one low bill per year around the holiday season as kind of a Christmas present. I think maybe I did use less electricity because we haven't needed the heat or AC but also I think they may have given us a gift. We will see how it is next month. As for now, I am a happy camper!

Well done on the low bill. Always a boost when a bill is a bit lower than we might expect. We got our electric bill into today to cover the last 6 months Only £150. Quite pleased with that

150 for 5 months??? Why is your bill so cheap? Don't you ever use your heat?

@JimBo452020 I don't put on the heat unless it is direly needed. AC is another matter it can get super humid here, hot and uncomfortable. That is used the majority of the year.

@snowy22315 Very little heating on. Dry heat annoys Yvonne, her COPD seems to like colder conditions. Suits me lol

Always good to have a little bit of reprieve around this time of year. Really nice of them to do that too!

We're actually looking forward to our next bill to see how much difference the solar panels have made. It's great your bill is lower.

I have what our electric company calls “EMPP” (estimated monthly payment plan), where they take your total bill from last year and divide it by 12. If you overpaid, it’s credited the first month of the new yearly cycle; and if you didn’t pay enough they charge the difference and raise the payment. My monthly payment is $108. I like knowing what it’ll be every month. Low utility bills are a true blessing!

That is awesome...since this whole house is based on electricity, the bill can be quite high. This bill was under 100 and not sure I remember it being that low to tell you the truth.

Ours is lower when neither the ac or heat are needed. Normally this time of year and then again around March

Whoa that's a pretty huge decrease. If it's true that it's their form of Christmas present, then it is very generous of them. Happy for you!

this is good news, it looks like there is a big discount by the electricity company but you have to save money too, train yourself to limit electricity usage
