The weather outside's not delightful I consider it rather spiteful The first snow of the year Is coming in like a bear By tomorrow, it'll be a mere trifle Edit: the incoming snow reminded me of a Christmas song. It has nothing to do with physical ailments but with my distaste for snow and iffy weather.
Oh, the weather outside is frightful But the fire is so delightful Since we've no place to go Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow It doesn't show signs of ...

@rakski I have to wear slippers because I can't fit into shoes just yet unless I remove my wrap before heading over tomorrow. But we're hoping it melts some before my appt.

Cooler weather is better than snow and ice conditions especially when I can only wear a slipper outside right now.

Your arthritis problem, right? Sorry to hear that. What did you usually do to make it better?

@Cheyee Partially, because I have an appt tomorrow and walking in the snow won't be fun.

And here I thought you were giggling at my attempted limerick. Eevee had several days off snow flakes mostly in October but nothing that's ever settled in the ground.

Maybe one day I can move south out of the snow belt for the winter months at least. Some here don't understand that some of us with love or hate snow and winter weather.

@MarshaMusselman Once I finally retire I will definitely spend the colder months in warmer climates as much as I can.

@CarolDM thanks I'll need it. My husband might drive me which means e can get closer to a sidewalk instead of me having to walk all the way around the car. I'm hoping it gets salted well.

I know places that have had their first snows of the season months ago. We've had nothing but rain down here.

@MarshaMusselman Ah. It rarely snows where I live. Not nearly cold enough for that.

I don't like snow anymore either but back about 25 years ago I loved it because I'd drive around taking pictures of it. Here snow is rare so it was fun back then.

Arthritis had nothing to do with it. I just don't like snow not cold weather. I edited my post and added a song familiar to us here. My own was a play on ideas..

Not at all. Now when I'm retired and don't have to do the shoveling and my grandkids are older I might change my mind as I can teach them to make snow men but for now I don't want to fall.
