Across The Universe.

My 19yr old niece discovered a song by a band she likes only to realize it’s a Beatles cover (“Happiness Is A Warm Gun”). She was telling me about it because she knows I like the Beatles. “Happiness Is A Warm Gun” is in the movie “Across The Universe,” which is a musical of nothing but Beatles songs. And now I’m sitting here listening to the “Across The Universe” movie soundtrack on Spotify. So why am I sharing this information? I used to watch the movie with my Daddy all the time. He’d put it on as background noise when we’d be working, or we’d watch it when it was playing on a movie channel. I even bought him the movie at some point. We both enjoyed the movie a lot, so it was always on by one of us. I’ve watched that movie maybe once since he passed away in 2013. During his viewing, we had laptops set up in different areas with movies that we’d watch with him, or we were introduced to because of him, and mine was “Across The Universe.” However, I probably wouldn’t have watched it as much regardless considering we watched it often together. The one time I did watch him, it was in June several years ago, which is also when Father’s Day and the anniversary of his passing falls, so that was probably a mistake. I miss that movie though, so I’m thinking of trying after the holidays (and probably after his birthday on January 2nd). I’ll see if anyone wants to join me.
