Made it to the state park for a visit again. Cotton the owl was there along with her new friend Buddy, the red tailed hawk.
Buddy was hit by a car and is being taken good care of by the park rangers. He will be released soon.
Cotton will always be at the park. I will visit as often as possible. They are both so beautiful.
Makes me very happy to know the park rangers are always on the lookout for wild animals that need to be rescued and taken care of.

That is so cool! I remember seeing a bird rescue at Reelfoot Lake in Tennessee when I was there earlier this year. it was the first one I’d seen, and it was indeed fascinating and heartwarming that organizations take care of the injured birds. There were owls and red-tail hawks there, too!!
