December is Coming

Today it was a rainy day here in our region. It was dark and dreary and as the day passed it got colder. And now that rain is coming down as white stuff. We are expecting an accumulation by the morning. Inside it is warm and cozy with the glow of the lights of the Christmas tree and the warmth cast from having the oven on cooking supper. Today was rain, but the transition to snow lets us all know that December is coming. And just 1 more month left of the calendar year that few of us will ever forget.

I can feel December coming over there. But here, it is windy and warm, dry with not a drop of rain. Yep, who'd ever have thought that 2020 would be like this . . . and we're almost to the end of it now!

There is nothing about winter we enjoy, but nothing we can do to stop it. When this year is over we still have several months of cold to deal with. Thank goodness for a warm and sunny day here and there.

Although I do not enjoy driving in the snow I do prefer the cold weather over the hot weather of summer. So, I for one, am not too disappointed with the time of the year.

The snow is really coming down here now, its wet, but I imagine that as it gets colder thru the night it will start to pile up. December, January and February are the coldest months and tomorrow that starts.
