Update on My Card

Since I was able to lock/disabled the card via the app, my money is still intact. I went to the bank in the morning to ask what I need to request for replacement. But first, I asked the security officer if someone surrendered my debit card. I am thinking that I left my card on the ATM. The bank rep told me that I need an Affidavit of Loss and a valid government-issued ID and 150 (around $3) as a replacement fee. The bank rep told me should I request the card to be deactivated, the balance I have on it will not be transferred or an over-the-counter withdrawal is not an option. Good thing I did not request the bank to deactivate my card.

@jobelbojel Yes it should be found by now. I wonder if a psychic would know.

Yes, I am planning to get a new one instead. I am thinking about the notary fee for the affidavit.

Infuriating encounters these bank tellers are. You were there to clear the matter and they deliberately make it difficult for you. Just being there meant you were reporting and safeguarding your account. Sigh.

@jobelbojel I really do think these banks are OA and KSP. Grrr. The things we're asked to do to prove the 'loss' when we are already reporting the 'loss.' I don't believe in banks any longer and I don't entrust my savings to anyone anymore. I spend my money when I have it. I enjoy the money at my pleasure, not allowing the banks to use my money at their pleasure.

@eileenleyva that would be the best thing to do especially the interest rates are too low.

It's good you didn't or else your bank balance may not be credited or transferred to your new account.
