Upside down keystroke

I was writing a response and this happened to my question mark by accident. young¿ Anyone know how this might have happened? I've no idea unless it's like when I hesitated in using the light switch and blew a bulb. I thought I blew a ballast but for one set of lights that wasn't the case. I've yet to find out about my hall light which is beyond my reach. My hands shake a little and I think that's how I got the upside down keystroke. Any ideas? Edit: owl helped me find it again so I wrote another post of your interested.

Is your phone an iPhone or an Android? The inverted query is accessed on an iPhone by holding your finger on the normal query symbol and selecting the inverted version from the bubble that pops up. On an Android, its on the second symbol menu in the same place as the normal query symbol. On a PC it can be inserted as a special character from the Character Map or by using Alt+168 - '¿'. In case you are wondering what earthly use it is, it's used in Spanish to start a question with the normal query used to end it like this: "¿Como se llama?"

¿ I found it. In mine it follows your I phone rule with a pop-up if the finger is left on our question marks.

That's a bit of a mystery. So far as I know, you can't make that symbol on our computers in the U.S. without physically typing in an alt code.

I don't expect anyone still know. Supposedly there's a way with a desktop and using the alt key but I use my phone to mylot.

It's a pop-up on the normal questionnaire when your finger lingers on the regular one. This is in phones. Owl explained in his response to my discussion.

The only way I have ever done this is in the program called Word and it is a control alt key. Strange.

I think my shaky finger did cause it after all as it must have remained on the key longer than normal. Depending on your phone determined how it might be done. I can do it anytime now. ¿¿ They are popups under or over the ?

That is a Spanish question mark it is not an upside down keystroke Possibly you pressed the ALT key while typing and you got the special character.

@MarshaMusselman I thought you were typing on your computer, I know nothing about smartphones, I never had a look at the character set of my phone.

There is no alt key on my phone. My finger did shake a little while typing but otherwise I didn't press anything unusual.

I doubt it's from a shaky hand. That's interesting it did that. Maybe you hit a shortcut key that gave you that upside-down question mark.
